Welcome to the Veteran's Rating & Payment calculator. This is a continual work in progress and I look forward to your feedback. Okay, so why did I create this site. Well, for one I am a Veteran that has gone through an extensive Compensation & Pension process with the VA and again with the Board of Veterans appeals. And part of what I wanted, was more than just the basic spreadsheets or calculators out there that calculate my rating based on a set rate. What I wanted was the ability to plug all my ratings with their effective dates. Then when I was given a new award with effective dates, I could automatically calculate the new total disability rating values AND the appropriate VA payment for those dates involved. Really, I'm way too curious about so many things to the point that I became a developer and systems analyst. This site does not collect any personal information from you, other than a username and password and you have the ability to save basic information that will help you to calculate your payments. So why would you want to do all this? Well maybe (like me) you would like to know an estimate of what the VA MAY (Obviously this is not a guarantee, only an estimate) give you in back pay for your claim.
